THE LOCATIONS
We do use two locations, one by a forest in Faversham, the other on the Margate coast on a causeway that cuts through the chalk cliff and snakes off in to the sea. It was originally created for farmers who in their tractors would collect seaweed to fertilise their fields. The sauna is situated 10m from the sea, convenient for a refreshing dip. The sauna is situated on a public beach so do expect passers by.
THE SAUNA
Hand built by us, it has a small kitchenette on the back from which our coastal feasts are prepared and cooked. We use locally coppiced sweet chestnut and birch in the sauna stove and infuse dousing water with foraged aromatics. Salt rubs and seaweed whisks are provided for you to stimulate your skin and nerve endings with whilst ice-cold foraged herbal waters and aquavit tantalise your insides!
THE MEAL
After your sauna, you’ll sit down to a delicious, seasonal meal that reflects its surroundings. We forage, source & prepare wild & locally bought ingredients into delicious dishes that convey the flavours of the surroundings.
THE BOOK SHELF
We have a bookshelf full of sauna, coast, land & seaweed related books for you to browse whilst in between saunas.
OUR ROLE
We are here to gently guide the process being available when you need us, and not when you don’t. We will provide drinks, salts, seaweed & dousing water for you to use at your own leisure during your sauna.

Hey Mike Hope your wedding Saturday afternoon/eve went well. The experience exceeded our expectations, it was truly amazing as for your magic powers of arranging the sunshine. Where can I ask people to leave a review? Or how do you want us to promote how fab it was… if you do that is. You may create more calls to answer though 🤪 Nx Sent from my iPhoneNew List Item

We had such an incredible sauna and wild food feast on the beach in Margate. We booked out all of the tickets for my friend’s hen do and it was the perfect day. The sauna is beautifully crafted and we had so much fun dashing in and out of the sea. The food was absolutely superb and we have been craving it ever since. A seriously memorable day and unforgettable experience. We will be back - thank you SO much!New List Item

Hi Mike, Thank you again for a great day and experience, we both thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the day. Great sauna and cold wild swimming experience with Andrew to encourage and guide us - I loved the salt scrubs too that was a really nice touch. AMAZING food - it really was a feast and the warm table is a great idea. The whole day felt very chilled and laid back. Left feeling lighter and happier from such an exhilarating day., Best wishes, Jemma

Thank you to Mike and Faith for an excellent day. My friends and I hired all of the spots for the day so we had the experience to ourselves, I couldn't recommend it enough. The sauna kept us warm after our sea dips, the salt scrubs felt wonderful and the food was outstanding. Would give 6 stars if I could 💜

Thanks so much for the incredible sauna experience yesterday! It’s such a beautiful winning formula and every single thing you served up was sensational. Can’t stop thinking about all of it and how fresh and delicious all the flavours were. It was a primo Margz experience that I’ll treasure xx

We went to an amazing sauna and feast hosted by Mike in Margate on the beach. The foraged food was stunningly presented with so much delicious local food. The horse box sauna was perfect for our group of 4 and the sea dip was a great way to keep cool.

Please come having recently showered as there are no showers. Bring your swimwear, 2 towels (1 for sitting on for hygiene reasons in the sauna and 1 for drying off), a water bottle to rehydrate during sessions, Beach Shoes/flip flops are ESSENTIAL and a bathrobe/swimrobe if you wish. Day wear or underwear is not permitted in the saunas. Changing room space is 50m away but it’s a good idea to come in easy, comfortable clothing to allow for a quick change. Travel light and if possible arrive ready to sauna!

Nature is unpredictable and the weather really is out of our control, although we do try our best. However, we’re prepared as we can be for different weather conditions. Our dining table will be covered in case it does rain.
In cases of extreme weather, we may need to move start and finish times but we will always do our best to ensure the date at the least stays the same.
