Join us for lunch for the full Overland experience of fire, sweat and feasting on the edge of the Kent woods. You’ll be guided through our wild land, sweat in our wood-fired sauna and plunge yourself into cold water before coming together at a long table for a feast cooked over open flames.

On arrival you’ll be met with herbal teas and fresh fruit by your guide, before being taken on a walk around Overland, filled with an abundance of wild flowers, birds, apple, quince and pear trees, where you’ll be invited to try the seasonal products. Next, the sauna. Get settled into the wood-fired heat and immerse yourself in all its wonders - birch whisks, foraged salt scrubs and a lot of huffing. Step out and plunge yourself into cold water in our hand crafted wooden pools, followed by a nip of Overland’s ice cold foraged aquavit.

Once changed, either take a seat at our shared communal tables and watch as our chefs work across our open fires, or take a beat and recline on our forest bathing panels as your meal is prepared.Join together to share a cocktail to kick off your lunch, before starting your multi-course meal served with complimentary wine, as well as coffee and foraged petit fours to finish the day off.

  • We are located a short walk from Selling train station in Faversham. We will meet you at the train station and walk you to site. The train station is under 1.5 hours from London by train or car.

  • Arrive 15 minutes early if possible then

    Cool off in the barrels overlooking the woods & refresh in the open air

    STEP 4

    Get back in the sauna for up to 15 minutes, douse sauna stones w/ aromatic water

    Use aromatic exfoliating salts on your skin

    Get out & whisk your skin w/ foraged whisks

    Drink an ice-cold shot of foraged aquavit

    Cool off in the plunge pool

    Potentially repeat sauna & cooling process

    Enjoy your post sauna sensations w/ a delicious foraged drink overlooking the forest

  • Our menu aims to showcase & use what is considered sustainable. Many of the ingredients featured have been foraged for by us in around the coast. The menu is subject to change depending on prevailing conditions.

    DIETARIES

    Due to the small nature of these events, we can only make small alterations to our menu, gluten would be an example. Please let us know if you have any requirements in an email.

  • Please come having recently showered as there are no showers. Bring your swimwear, 2 towels (1 for sitting on for hygiene reasons in the sauna and 1 for drying off), a water bottle to rehydrate during sessions, Beach Shoes/flip flops are ESSENTIAL and a bathrobe/swimrobe if you wish. Day wear or underwear is not permitted in the saunas. There are changing cubicles but it’s a good idea to come in easy, comfortable clothing to allow for a quick change. Travel light and if possible arrive ready to sauna!

  • Nature is unpredictable and the weather really is out of our control, although we do try our best. However, we’re prepared as we can be for different weather conditions. Our dining table will be covered in case it does rain. In cases of extreme weather, we may need to move start and finish times but we will always do our best to ensure the date at the least stays the same.

  • Unless you have booked the whole sauna out, yes and the communal nature of this only heightens the experience. Private Hire: If you prefer to hire the event privately, you will need to book all ticket for the event. Please email.

  • Absolutely. We can entertain parties of all sizes and if you were interested in booking the whole event or had a specific date in mind then please let us know.

  • If you were to book one of our saunas for exclusive use, you’re welcome to sauna in the German and Finnish way, however you will need to cover up outside the sauna and in the shower area as this is open to the public. This could be with a hammam towel that you don’t mind getting wet. Clothing is compulsory if you’ve booked an individual ticket. We ask that every everyone sits on a towel at all times in the sauna.

  • We may be able to offer an alternate date if we can fill the places you have booked.

    We reserve the right to cancel and refund in full any sauna event. This is due to a number of variables.
